The fact that the Vital Phoenix Off Road is not a vehicle with playful bells and whistles, but a vehicle with a balanced driving and operating concept, quickly becomes clear in our test. The rather traditional and clumsy-looking car from Lüdenscheid in the Sauerland turns out to be a true powerhouse that wants and may be challenged. The “Outdoor” variant tested in this driving report is only an equipment version of the basic model “Phönix”. Depending on requirements, preferences and needs, the customer has the choice between five different models – not including sub-variants for particularly tall or heavy people.

Outdoors at home – this applies in a very special way to the Vital Phönix Off Road. A look at the off-road tires and the chrome-plated crash protection strips already show what the electric car is designed for: for outdoor use and in this case gladly in unpaved terrain. When moving through shopping streets and buildings, the powerful phoenix is rather underchallenged and can hardly prove his skills. Apart from that, it is also a bit too big for such missions.
